There was a server hiccup the other night, but the site is back up and running.
The Occupy the Courts event page is up—send it to everyone you know.
If you can’t see the working and affinity group forums on the site, email the internet team with your name, handle, and group, and they will verify you as a user.
The SERCO site is up at occupysoutheast.org . A Facebook page is coming soon.
Goldman Sachs bought into Facebook this week. Luckily, OWS is working on a new social network for activists, and plan to have it up by the end of January.

Chris and Ed are back full-force, and plan to have a meeting ASAP.
Proposal (passes): our radio station will be called Occupy Gainesville Radio
The team will need all the support we can muster for Occupy the Courts (photographers, videographers, etc.) to staff our media tent (separate from the press tent)
SERCO, via Walton
Proposal (passes): The text of our invitation email was read, and the group consented to the content and use of the OG name. The full text is available in the forums, under SERCO Local.
Andrew is leaving us for the UK. His time in Gainesville has been devastating, particularly this year. Then along came Occupy; it’s been a wonderful experience, and he’s proud to have been part of this group. He encourages us to balance our emphasis on process with attention to action, and bring in new members who have much to contribute. He will still participate online, and will join Occupy London as soon as he arrives in England. He thanks us for letting him join us and speak, and dedicates his red chair to OG, particularly to Coral.
Much discussion here, and in group reports, was dedicated to the SERCO group and its place in OG. The general trend seemed to be that the SERCO group should be a working group with greater visibility and accountability.
John Fullerton has a friend who would like to deliver a presentation on money, the fed, the economy, etc.
Patrick is going to set up a garden and a kitchen at tent city.
Chris thanks everyone for being here tonight. She thanks everyone making it possible for her and Ed to spend a week with her boys. In particular, she thanks Karrie for organizing the fund and making it happen.
Michelle thinks open floor is really cool. And open. Dinner was great. And she likes ice cream. Also, the donation jar needs some love. Please give if you can.
Karrie thought it was awesome to have the mobile outreach group occupying her yard today and riding around in the OG van to engage the community. It was great getting out and meeting people, and she appreciates everyone who participated.
Ed: it’s a beautiful moon tonight, and Occupiers all over the world are looking at it with us.
Mobile outreach went to a couple churches today, canvassed, invited people to the 20 Jan action, and got a good response.
Other Occupy news
Nigeria has its first Occupation. 100 people gathered in advance of an international meeting of oil companies.
A high school basketball player made a ½ court shot at ½ time at a college game for $10,000 prize. He made the shot, but the next day there was a discrepancy about whether or not his foot was over the line. The high schoolers occupied, and Kroger ponied up the prize.
Occupy Tampa has a park, with tents and firepits.
Announcements and appreciation
Nancy appreciates Karrie for hosting today’s mobile outreach.
Michelle appreciates Karrie for being awesome, and letting her climb her tree. She also appreciates the hard work everyone is putting in. She also wants to have a party in the near future.
Chris appreciates Ed for everything that he’s done for the movement.
The cleanliness of the park has declined. It was suggested that everyone acts as a liaison with the park residents; talk to them, encourage their help and participation.
